Black Friday Food Deals, "Dive-In" Movie and Nutcracker Performances

A Chanticleer Christmas The 12 male voices known as Chanticleer ring in the holiday season with the ensemble’s cherished “A Chanticleer Christmas” concerts on 8 p.m. Saturday at George Mason University's Center for the Arts in Fairfax and at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas  Ancient hymns, sacred songs, classical works and a selection of festive and familiar carols and spirituals from Europe and America. 


Bright Lights, Big Holiday: Meadowlark’s annual Winter Walk of Lights display includes over 500,000 LED lights. $12, adults. $7, children. 5:30 p.m. Through Jan. 5. Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, 9750 Meadowlark Gardens Court, Vienna.

Givin’ Back: It’s an “artistic feast” at The Giving Gathering: Supporting Your Art Community. The event includes poetry readings, visual art and music. Reston Revelry: The Reston Holiday Parade and so much more arrives Friday. The event includes the Gingerbread Man Mile, photos with Santa, tree lighting and sing along, carriage rides, Gingerbread Village, Rock-n-Skate and more. Free. 8 am. to 10 p.m. Friday. Mice, Men, Music, Memories: Classical Ballet Theatre presents “The Nutcracker,” a holiday classic with stunning costumes, beautiful choreography and Tchaikovsky’s music. Centreville High will host Stonewall Jackson High School on Friday in the third round of 2013 football playoffs.  Stonewall Jackson is 8-4 on the season while Centreville is undefeated. 

"Dive-In" Movie: Finish digesting your turkey dinner while floating on a tube in the Manassas Park Community Center indoor pool on Friday during the second annual Dive-In Movie. The event is from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and admission is free with the donation of a toy.  Children under 5 must stay within arm's reach of an adult during the entire movie.

Free Main Lobster for Black Friday: Red Lobster locations are offering a free Maine lobster tail with the purchase of any entree all day on Black Friday. A coupon for this offer must be presented at time of purchase. 

Half-Off Lunch on Black Friday: LongHorn Steakhouse locations are offering half off a lunch combination with the purchase of another from 11 to 4 p.m. on Friday.  A coupon for this offer must be presented at time of purchase.

Herndon's Chanukah On The Town Square. Bring family and friends for an evening of Chanukah fun. Giant Menorah lighting, crafts, refreshments and more. This Sunday, Dec. 1, 5:30 p.m. in front of Town Hall at 730 Elden St., Herndon.

McLean WinterFest Parade: The McLean WinterFest Parade gathers at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday and steps off at 3:30 p.m. sharp. The route follows Old Chain Bridge Road from Fleetwood Road to Elm Street. WinterFest 2013 will also have a number of food trucks in the Langley Shopping Center parking lot. More info here.
