Originally founded in 1941 on G Street in downtown D.C., G Street Fabrics opened its Centreville location in 1994.  It offers a massive selection of apparel and quilting fabrics for a variety of needs, including cottons, chiffons, silks, taffeta and more.  It also sells sewing products including sewing machines, patterns, books, notions, trims and buttons.  The extensive home decorating department offers not only a variety of fabrics for home decor but also custom labor.  The store sometimes hosts private events and classes.  You can contact the store for details.
