Police, Firefighters to Visit on Chick-fil-A 'Local Heroes Night'

Stop by for food and conversation from 6-8 p.m.

Dine with local heroes from the Fairfax County Police Sully District Police Station and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Tuesday night at Chick-fil-A in Chantilly.  Come to Chick-fil-A from 6-8 p.m. and dine with your local firemen and police officers. Families will have the opportunity to walk around, meet their local heroes from Fairfax County Fire Station 15 and the Sully District Police Station. Guests will be able to see the equipment, ask questions and more. Chick-fil-A will have a tent set up with games for guests to participate in and win prizes. Police: Man Exposed Self Outside Home on Summer Tree Road

The man fled before officers arrived at the home.

A Centreville woman woke up in the middle of the night to find a man exposing himself outside her window, Fairfax County Police said.  The 46-year-old woman reported on Wednesday that the incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. on the 14300 block of Summer Tree Road. The suspect fled before police arrived at the scene.  Police did not release a description of the suspect.  Anyone with information can call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. 

Frank Wolf, Tim Hugo to Host Town Hall on Human Trafficking

The town hall meeting will take place Friday, May 3, in Fairfax County.

State delegates Tim Hugo, Barbara Comstock, will host a town hall meeting on May 3 with U.S. Rep Frank Wolf and a panel of local experts, federal and state officials. The event aims to educate the community about human sex trafficking in Virginia, how the commonwealth is cracking down on this crime and how Virginians can increase awareness of the threat posed in the area. The Human Trafficking Forum will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the McLean Community Center, Community Hall, 1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean. Crime Blotter: Unlawful Entry into Home, Christmas Lights Stolen From Residence

Nothing was stolen. Police believe the intruder forced their way in through the front door. Sully District Police Issue 164 Citations, 6 DWI Charges

All officers who worked Saturday night focused on finding unsafe, impaired drivers.

All Fairfax County Police officers from the Sully District Station worked on Saturday night to try and curb drunk, impaired and aggressive drivers.  Over 25 officers worked in the effort, which police dubbed "Operation: All Hands on Deck." Officers contacted 318 citizens, issued 146 warnings, and 164 citations. There were also six DWI charges. The Sully District has experienced a 16 percent increase in DWI-related crashes from 2011 to 2012, according to Fairfax County Police. Within the last two months, two police vehicles have been struck by drunk drivers.

Police: Centreville Woman Sexually Assaulted in Her Home

The woman woke up Sunday morning to find a man sexually assaulting her.

A man broke inside a Centreville woman's home Sunday morning and sexually assaulted her, Fairfax County Police said.  Around 3 a.m., the 27-year-old woman was asleep inside her home in the 13000 block of Winding Oak Circle. She woke up to find that a man had gotten into the home and was sexually assaulting her, police said. When she challenged him, he fled on foot.  Electronic equipment was also stolen from the home, police said. They believe the perpetrator was able to get in through an unlocked door.  The suspect was described as possibly Hispanic with a medium build, 25 to 35 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants.

This list is not all-inclusive.  Unlawful entry (yellow on map): A resident on the 5800 block of Ridings Manor Place reported on April 9, at 3:35 p.m., that two people were seen leaving her home. There was no damage. The helicopter assisted and the suspects were located. An 18-year-old female from Bristow was charged with trespassing and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
