Crime Blotter: Assault at Restaurant on St. Germain Drive

Assault: A 20-year-old reported he was sitting at a restaurant on the 14100 block of Saint Germain Drive at 12:40 a.m. May 5, when an unknown man assaulted him. Afterward, the suspect fled. Police said that the victim was not seriously injured. Police did not provide a description of the suspect.  DWI patrol: Sully District officers conducted a DWI check point near Lee Highway and O’Day Drive on May 3, with 527 vehicles passing through. Police charged one driver with DWI. Police issued six summonses and made three narcotics arrests. Robbery, Assault Reported on Woodmere Drive

Police responded to a report of a man who was robbed and assaulted Wednesday evening.

Police responded to a call about a man who was reportedly robbed and assaulted around 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Woodmere Drive, according to the Publice Information Office of the Fairfax County Police Department. The victim reported that two men produced an unknown object, demanded the victim's belongings, assaulted him and fled the scene, taking a few of his belongings with them. The suspects were described as black, wearing masks and dark glasses. The FCPD helicopter and a K-9 team responded to the incident. Residents have reported that they witnessed two helicopters in the area during this time. The Public Information Office said another unit may have been in the area to respond to another report.
