Between Sept. 26 and Oct. 4, some popular local restaurants in the Chantilly and Centreville areas were inspected. For prior restaurant inspection reports, click here. In Virginia, restaurant inspection reports aren't quite as simple as getting a letter grade or an easy to see number rating to post in the front window. That said, we all want to know how our favorite restaurants stack up on cleanliness and sanitation. Inspectors grade restaurants based on critical and non-critical violations. A "critical violation" is one that "poses a direct or immediate threat to the safety of the food being served." Non-critical violations are generally related to cleaning or maintenance. The Wildcats lose to the Wolverines, 27-20.
After a long and challenging game Friday night, the Centreville Wildcats lost to the West Potomac Wolverines, 27-20. Going into Friday night’s game, both head coaches had their concerns about their opponent. Chris Haddock, head coach for Centreville, said the Wildcats were concerned about the Wolverines’s speed. “Every week we have a different concern. They have speed, and there are a few kids they have that can be dangerous. But every snap is a learning experience,” said Haddock. “We have some young players, but we’re going to go out and have a good game tonight.” Jeremiah Davis, the new head coach for West Potomac High School, was concerned about the Wildcat’s offense, describing it as tough to prepare for. “Coach Haddock is very …

Money Magazine says the community strikes "the right balance for those who want to escape big-city life without sacrificing big-city job opportunities."
Quit complaining about the commute: Centreville has once again made Money magazine's list of the top 100 places to live. In fact, this unincoroporated suburban community ranks no. 17 in the nation. The only community in Virginia that tops it on the list is Reston, which ranks no. 7. "Centreville strikes the right balance for those who want to escape big-city life without sacrificing big-city job opportunities. Though the commute to Washington, D.C., can be lengthy due to traffic, Centreville is within reasonable driving distance of both mountain and beach getaways," the magazine's write-up reads. To make it on Money's annual list, a small city must "offer strong job opportunities, great schools, low crime, and a true sense of community…
