Centreville High Weekly Sports Review

A roundup of the most recent CVHS sports scores.

Boys Basketball Defeats Oakton 46-43.  Evan Fuller scored 14 points, Rahji Johnson added 11 points, and Robert Coker had 9 points and 4 rebounds as the Wildcats defeated the Oakton Cougars at Oakton, to improve to 6-9 overall and 2-2 in the district.  The boys are scheduled to play Chantilly on Tuesday, Jan. 24th, on the Chargers' home court, and then play Robinson at home on Friday, Jan. 27th. Both games are at 7:30 p.m.        Lady Wildcats fall to Oakton The team fell to the top ranked and undefeated Oakton Cougars 72-41 on Tuesday night, Jan. 17th. The Cats battled throughout the game but were not able to keep pace with the talented Cougars.  With the loss Centreville falls to 9-6 on the year and 1-3 in the Concorde District. Chantilly…

CVHS Weekly Sports Review

A look at the most recent sports scores from Centreville High School.

Boys basketball: The Wildcats boys basketball team won their contest against Herndon High on Centreville’s court, in a game played on Tuesday, Jan. 10th, by a score of 58-53.  Senior Robert Coker had 18 points and 8 assists, junior Rahji Johnson scored 12 points, senior Evan Fuller had four points, eight rebounds and eight assists, and senior Mitch Mahoney had nine points for the game.   On Friday, Jan. 13th, the boys lost to Westfield, 64-35. Fuller scored 22 points in the game and also had nine rebounds. With these games, Centreville falls to a 5-9 record, 1-2 in the District.    Girls basketball: The Centreville Lady Wildcats picked up their first Concorde District win on Tuesday night, Jan. 10th, with a come-from-behind 68-67 overtime …

Swim/dive: The CVHS swimming/diving team held a meet against Herndon High on Friday, Jan. 6.
