CIF Fiesta

From the Centreville Immigration Forum:

It’s Fiesta time in Centreville this Friday night, April 27, at Centreville Fire Station 17, 7-10 pm! The event includes performances by dancers and musicians sharing traditions of Mexico, Guatemala, Korea, and India; and there will be good food, an international market and a Silent Auction with items for sale throughout the evening.

The event is sponsored by Centreville Immigration Forum as a fundraiser for the Centreville Labor Resource Center.  There is no admission charge, but there will be opportunity to donate to the work of the Center.

DJ Myra Flemister (HB Productions) will open the evening by inviting the children to dance, and there will be chili-dogs, egg rolls and snacks for sale all evening. A special treat will be arroz con leche, a sweet-drink tradition in Guatemala.

An international market will continue throughout the evening, with a Silent Auction, handmade crafts from Guatemala, and art by local artists. A very special event will be the display of a unique, hand-decorated rain barrel completed by CLRC artists just in time for Earth Day! Save water and decorate your yard at the same time.
