Hundreds Race Along Bull Run-Occoquan Trail

Virginia Happy Trails Running Club holds its 20th annual 50 mile race.

Hundreds of people from all over the United States raced on the Saturday, as the Virginia Happy Trails Running Club held its 20th annual 50-mile race.

The annual Bull Run Run kicked off in the early morning hours at in Clifton and follows the dirt trails that parallel the Bull Run and Occoquan River. It has a unique Civil War theme, with runners from "the North" rivaling those on "the South." Runners had a maximum of 13 hours to complete the race.
