Flash Flood Warning for Western Fairfax County

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Centreville and a number of surrounding areas.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Western Fairfax County effective until 10:30 p.m.

At 7:36 p.m. NWS doppler radar indicated thunderstorms capable of producing flash flooding along a line from South Riding to eight miles south of Haymarket, according to an alert from Fairfax County.

In addition to Western Fairfax County, the flash flood warning covers Manassas, Manassas Park, Western Prince William County, Southeastern Loudoun County and East Central Fauquier County.

Some of the locations that will be affected by the heavy rain include Centreville, Chantilly, Bull Run, Haymarket, Dulles International Airport, Reston, Brambleton, Broadlands, Herndon and Manassas.
