Centreville High School Sports Report

A roundup of the latest Centreville High School sports scores.

On Tuesday, April 17, the girls varsity lacrosse team beat the Chantilly Chargers, 14-6, bringing their season record to a superb 8-1.

Senior Ayana Teran has successfully made the transition from soccer goalie to notable lacrosse goalie, making 10 goal saves against a very capable, experienced Chantilly offense. However, the Wildcats’ offense showed its truth depth across the board, with eight girls scoring successfully.

Freshmen attacker Reagan Newell and midfielder Caroline Wakefield each contributed 2 goals and 2 assists. Senior midfielder Maggie Dulkerian and junior midfielder Carly Sane each brought in 2 goals and one assist. Despite a fractured wrist, sophomore Catherine Zempolich had 2 goals and an interception. Rounding out the scoring with one goal each were senior Hayley Anderson, sophomore Caroline Bollman, junior Danielle Smith, and sophomore Avery Rocke.
