Redskins Name Wildcats' Haddock High School Coach of the Year

The Washington Redskins have selected Centreville High School football coach Chris Haddock as High School Coach of the Year.

Just two years ago, the football program at Centreville High School . Yet this December, second-year head coach Chris Haddock brought his Wildcats , following a 9-3 first season in 2010. 

So while the DC area has many top-notch football coaches, it shouldn't come as much surprise that the Washington Redskins have named Haddock the 2011 High School Coach of the Year.

Haddock was chosen based on "his continuing commitment towards promoting youth football, developing motivated student-athletes, his overall community involvement and overall team performance and record," according to a news release posted on the Redskins website.

The Redskins selected Haddock as the winner of the award this week and will donate $2,000 to the football program. Haddock will receive a framed certificate acknowledging the honor.
